Suprising enough, My health problems did'nt start until I stopped smoking,
and other lifestyle changes to try to benefit my health. It was a real
shock to my body I guess.. took about 3-4 years to get my blood pressure
    and heart-rate stable.

I quit in 2008 and other than the normal bs that goes with being a diabetic, I didn't really have any other issues.

I never had I blood-sugar until after I quit smoking and drinking sodas, etc.. I'ts crazy.. All of it started less than a month after I stopped, But I had also stopped a long bout of an opoid addiction so I'm sure that may have had more to do with a lot of the health issues.

My wife finally quit a little over a year ago. It was killing her. Less that three weeks after quitting, her face had completely changed and she looked much more lively and younger. She can't breathe anymore and she has gained about 20 lbs but I am just so glad she finally quit...

I'm happy I stopped too.. It's crazy I tried and tried to stop smoking numerous times and never could, then one day I just had an epiphany that I was not going to die young and leave a good looking corps like I thought I was going to. That I was actually probably going to live a lot longer than I thought and I wanted my body to be able to keep up with my mind. After that I just could'nt smoke anymore. cigarettes tasted like crap.. I kept a pack in my pocket for a whole week just in case, but I just could'nt light another up.

The opiotes were a little harder to come off of after so many years of use and abuse, it wasnt like I was getting high off them anymore, I was just maintaining. But I'm so happy to be off all that.. And sugary drinks too.. I stopped it all, all around the same time 4 years ago.

To this day I still cannot stand to smell cigarettes and cant stand the taste or the consistancy of a soda, cannot believe I used to consume so much of that crap.

i actually somewhat miss it when people could smoke indoors. i remember one weekend everyone hanging out in the bar having a blast and the next weekend the law changed and it became this routine of people heading back and forth to smoke while i sat inside waiting.

Some of my family smokes, and even at home, they like to smoke outside so that they don't smoke up the inside of their house. So when I'm at their house, I either sit inside while they go outside to smoke, or I go out with them.

I have noticed that there's a lot of smokers, and they continue on. It's extremely addicting. I started smoking around 10 and I stopped when i was 28 and I still want a cig when I smell someone smoking one.

I don't miss it at all anymore. The smell is pretty disgusting to me now.

whats disgusting is when people hit it hard and it's in their clothes and their whole body. that smells horrible.

just the regular smoke is ok for me sometimes.

I was still able to quit. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't like I was
climbing the walls either. Smoked for over 1/2 my life at the time I
    quit.

    cigarette smoking seems to be
    making a comeback.

    That surprises me too. :(

I heard that in some European
countries, doctors say that up to 5

Yep, I've known of a couple people that have died that way. Addiction is bad and one cannot let themselves think that they are above it, or over it.. theres always that one event, sound, smell, or anything that could trigger a relapse. So definaly I stay very aware of that and use time to stop and think. It's definatly not worth it, I have distanced myself from ANYONE I used to hang with. It's far too dangerous anymore to fool with anything, they are putting carfentanil in EVERYTHING, spiking pain pills, xanax. vapes. marijuana, I mean everything. and it's crazy.. there is definatly no room for complacency.

It kind of fakes me out a little that I'm having a soda. I realize it's not the same thing and might even be not attactive, I certainly didn't like them.
